Submission Guidelines

Deadline:

  • Preferred: Submit at least 24 hours prior to the event

  • Day-of: Accepted only if received at least one hour before the session begins

Submission Requirements:

  • Length: Up to 5 pages or one chapter (whichever is shorter)

  • Format:

    • Font: Times New Roman or Arial

    • Size: 12-point

    • Spacing: Double-spaced

    • File Type: Word document (.doc or .docx)

    • File Name: [AuthorLastName_Title].docx or .pdf

Include with your submission:

  • Trigger Warnings: Clearly list any sensitive or potentially distressing content (e.g., violence, abuse, self-harm)

  • Critique Intensity Preference:

    • Nice – gentle, encouraging feedback with minimal correction

    • Moderate – constructive, balanced critique

    • Intense – direct, detailed editorial feedback

Submission Fee

To participate in the critique session, a small submission fee is required:

  • Student Rate:

    • $15 if submitted early (at least 24 hours before the event)

    • $20 for day-of submissions

  • General Rate:

    • $30 if submitted early

    • $40 for day-of submissions

Note: "General" includes authors, hobbyists, and community members not currently enrolled in school.
